How many words can describe such a dynamic and beautiful nine-year-old little girl choir and Quvenzhane Wallis is going to be the new Annie! Not only is she going to play an iconic role that has never been portrayed by an African American but she was also nominated for Academy award. Not only is she a wonderful child actor and a darling little girl but she rocks her natural tresses like no other!

Things you wish your stylist told you!

1. SHORT STUFF (grab-length hair) Brush it, comb it, or leave it alone, but always, always wash it often. Use Curl Sealer for leave-in moisture and Pure Pudding to create perfectly coifed coils.

2. MIDDLE OF THE ROAD (neck-length hair) Braided or not, twisted or not, loose or not, cleanse as often as you like, making certain to use our Intense Healing Mask 2-3 times per month. “Plop” by squeezing gently (not rubbing), removing just enough moisture to leave hair wet but not dripping. With any twist, any braid or any knot, use Mold & Hold for non-flaky, non-drying, shiny, flexible care.

3. LUSCIOUS LOCKS (BSL hair) When it’s lovely and long, cleanse as often as you like with our Clarifying Shampoo. Use our Intense Healing Mask, 2-3 times per month, and our Curl Sealer to hold in that oh so precious moisture. Apply Pure Pudding from the root to the tip. Continue to style, using your hands or a wide tooth comb. NEVER use a pick for combing your vibrant locks. Doing so will cause the ends to tangle, knot and break. Ready for bed? “Pineapple” your hair, by pulling it straight up and securing it loosely. Comfortably tie a satin wrap around your head and pull the hair up through the top opening.

Extra Tip! Spraying your “pineapple” at night with Curl Wake Up Spray will keep your curls moisturized and vibrant come morning. Use Curl Wake Up Spray instead of water to refresh.
